Hi peeps!

Pleasure to meet you! My name is Shelle, I am 22 and do a double MSc in Biology and Aquaculture and Resource Management here at WUR. And since September 2025 I am this board’s chairwoman (what an honour)!

I started my Seadragon journey in 2022 and was there to celebrate this association’s second birthday. I got my diving certifcate half a year later and since then have been building up dives, experiences, and memories as well as skills! So far my favourite dives would have to be those I did while on exchange in Bodø, Norway. Drifting through kelp just feels so surreal and peaceful and dry suit diving taught me a lot. Besides diving I enjoy myself a good hike, drawing, and being a nerdy marine biologist.

As the chairwoman I aim to let the association grow even further as well as connect with all of our amazing members. I look forward to this coming year, including our Lustrum and the Zeeland weekends this Spring.
